Pinnacle Performance Antigua

It is often said, if you do what you love is it really working? A labor of love and passion with esteemed results, Pinnacle Performance Antigua has proven to be one of the top tuners and builders on Antigua specializing in the Toyota platform. With extensive knowledge of  the Toyota MR2 and Altezza chassis, Mr. Clifton Philip has honed his skills as a mechanic creating some very noteworthy builds on the island.

Operating for the past 7 years, PPA offers services such as performance parts procurement and consulting to full builds for both import and domestic cars. Basically from mild to wild.

Here’s what PPA had to say with Octane Signature:

What inspired you to start Pinnacle Performance Antigua?

“Being hardcore into competitive sports, especially motorsports, I wanted to pursue that passion. I actually get more excited about customers projects that I do with my own. It’s very satisfying bringing someone’s dream to life.

What do you think contributed to the success of this business?

1. Being honest and realistic with customers. Discussing the goals and working out the budget before hand is needed.

2. Partnering with other knowledgeable companies locally such as Dwight Robinson, DropZonePerformance, Tuned by Turbulence, 268Tech, Audie Chassis. I don’t tamper so having people who specialize in different aspects of builds is a good way to ensure a happy customer experience.

3. Being well connected internationally and keeping up with all the new improvements the sport makes daily.

4. Make yourself available to your customers.

5. And lastly have fun doing what you love.

What’s next in store?
“Getting the main shop car (white 97 Toyota Mr2) finished and into the 8s locally and to continue growing the brand both locally and regionally.”

Any advice for fellow business owners?
“Be honest with your ability and with people. A happy customer will always recommend your business to others.”

Closing remarks
“On a more private note I must say that my biggest motivation in running 8s with the shop car is a promise I made to my friend (family) Brian Kelsick. Every time I think about stopping I go back to our last conversations discussing the new setup.  “Boy I want see you drive this” he would say, then we would both laugh and continue working.  I don’t hero worship as it has just never been me, however I hold you in the highest regard possible.  Love you my brother.”
