The picturesque island of Antigua, where azure waters meet lush greenery, Dr. Courtney Lewis is not only known for his medical expertise but also for his passion for high-performance cars. Nestled amidst the tropical paradise, one of his beloved cars in his collection happens to be a  2004 Honda Integra Type R DC5 which stands as a testament to his love for precision engineering and automotive excellence. Let’s delve a bit deeper and learn more of Dr. Lewis’s octane signature, and his pristine Type R.

A Prescription for Speed
The Honda Integra Type R DC5, also known as the Acura RSX Type-S in North America, is a car that needs no introduction among enthusiasts. However, when it’s owned by a medical professional like Dr. Courtney Lewis, it takes on a whole new level of significance. For him, the Type R is not just a car; it’s a prescription for speed, adrenaline, and pure driving pleasure. Having owned a DC5 previously, he knew the capabilities of the K20A powerplant. Unfortunately, a sacrifice had to be made, and that car was sold to pursue his business venture of opening his own practice. After much hard work and dedication, the opportunity arose yet again to get back into the Honda game, and purchased the DC5 pictured here.

Under the Hood
Pop open the hood of Dr. Lewis’ Type R, and you’ll find the heart of this performance-oriented machine – a rev-happy 2.0-liter K20A inline-four engine. Delivering 220 horsepower at a frenetic 8,000 RPM stock, this engine is the embodiment of Honda’s high-revving, VTEC-equipped powerplant. Mated to a precise 6-speed manual transmission, it offers a driving experience that is both engaging and exhilarating. However, as most Honda enthusiasts, upgrades are a must. Upgrades to include, a ported RBC intake, Exedy clutch, Mugen exhaust, SPOON Headers, upgraded Throttle body, and Tein Coilovers.
